We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Functional Lead to act as the end-to-end Subject Matter Expert on a Workday Go / Launch Express implementation. This role will provide functional leadership across the full Financials suite, ensuring the solution is correctly designed, configured, tested, and ready for a successful and timely go-live in early April. The consultant will work closely with the business and implementation partner, owning functional outcomes and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Functional Lead and SME for Workday Financials, owning the solution end to end
- Provide hands-on leadership across the full Go / Launch Express lifecycle, from design through to go-live
- Ensure the Workday Financials solution is fit for purpose, aligned to business requirements, and delivered on time
- Lead and oversee configuration across a broad range of Financials modules, ensuring consistency and best practice
- Drive functional decision-making, issue resolution, and trade-off discussions
- Own functional readiness for go-live, including:
- Configuration sign-off
- Testing support (SIT/UAT)
- Data validation
- Cutover and go-live readiness activities
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Workday Financials Functional Lead or Senior Functional Consultant
- Broad, hands-on exposure across multiple Workday Financials modules, such as:
- Financial Accounting
- Supplier Accounts / Procurement
- Customer Accounts / Revenue
- Expenses
- Assets (desirable)
Desirable
- Prior experience supporting first-time Workday Financials go-lives
- Experience working part-time across delivery-critical programmes
- Workday Financials certifications
- Experience working with SME or mid-market organisations

- Part-time contract
- 3-month initial engagement
- Outside IR35
- Fully remote, candidates must be UK-based
