Location: Berkshire (2–3 days a week onsite)

We are looking for a highly skilled Workday Absence and Time Expert to support the optimisation and enhancement of a global Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This role will focus on Absence and Time Tracking, working closely with stakeholders to deliver effective and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, customise, and support Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions
  • Lead functional workshops and document clear functional specifications
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Absence & Time Tracking, advising on best practices
  • Support system changes through full testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT)
  • Assist with integrations, data migration, and system validation
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing user support and training
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and enhancements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
  • Proven hands-on experience with Workday Absence and Time Tracking configuration, including:
  • Business process frameworks
  • Security setup
  • Reporting
  • Experience with Workday integrations, data conversion, and testing
  • At least one global Workday implementation focused on Absence & Time Tracking
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Desirable Experience

    • 5+ years’ experience in Workday functional roles
    • Broader Workday HCM exposure
    • Experience leading workshops and requirements gathering
    • Experience supporting end-users and developing training materials
