Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP Tax Consultant with strong expertise in Indirect Tax and Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC) to support a global SAP transformation programme. This role focuses on designing and implementing tax-compliant SAP solutions across multiple geographies, ensuring accurate tax determination, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead functional ownership of SAP Tax (WHT, VAT, GST) configuration and enhancements
- Translate statutory tax requirements into SAP-compliant tax codes, procedures, and matrices
- Perform tax impact analysis and define solution designs for tax-related changes
- Maintain and validate tax determination logic, GL postings, and reporting outputs
- Configure and support SAP FI/CO tax functionality
- Tax procedures and condition techniques
- Support change requests, enhancements, and new tax reporting requirements
- Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Collaborate with SAP FI, SD, and MM teams
- IT and business stakeholders
- Ensure correct tax calculation across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes
- Support audit readiness and compliance validation
- Ensure alignment with global tax regulations and reporting standards
- Drive process improvements and optimisation across tax-related workflows
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in SAP FI/CO, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and tax configuration
- 5+ years’ experience in SAP Tax / Indirect Tax
- Experience with global tax compliance and reporting (VAT, WHT, GST)
- Proven experience delivering at least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
