Role – We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive quality assurance and testing activities across a large-scale wealth management and banking technology environment. This role will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies, managing quality assurance processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of Avaloq platform enhancements, integrations, and releases. Working closely with business, technology, and operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining platform stability, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Management & Quality Assurance
    • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases across the Avaloq platform.
    • Lead functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
    • Ensure software releases meet quality, performance, and business requirements.
    • Track, manage, and report on testing progress, risks, and defects.
  • Avaloq Platform Testing
    • Support testing across Avaloq modules including:
      • Core Banking
      • Wealth Management
      • Client & Business Partner Management
      • Investment and Trading Services
    • Validate integrations with CRM, trading platforms, reporting systems, and enterprise applications.
    • Ensure compatibility and functionality of new features, upgrades, and patches.
  • Quality Engineering & Automation
    • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
    • Drive test automation initiatives to improve efficiency and coverage.
    • Utilise tools such as:
      • Tosca
      • Selenium
      • UFT
      • Appium
      • Similar automation frameworks
    • Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Stakeholder & Delivery Management
    • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, operations teams, and programme stakeholders.
    • Communicate quality risks, testing outcomes, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Support Agile delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Ensure quality is embedded throughout design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive improvements to testing processes, standards, and governance.
    • Maintain testing documentation, knowledge repositories, and quality frameworks.
    • Stay current with Avaloq releases, banking technology trends, and testing best practices.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager, QA Lead, or Quality Engineer within banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience working with:
    • Avaloq
    • Core Banking Platforms
    • Wealth Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Test Strategy
    • Test Management
    • Defect Management
    • Quality Assurance Frameworks
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Tosca, Selenium, UFT, or Appium.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies including:
    • Functional Testing
    • Integration Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • End-to-End Testing
  • Technical understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Python, or C#.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
