Role: We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Lead Consultant to play a pivotal role in transforming an enterprise HR and Payroll landscape. This is a mission-critical role within a large SAP SuccessFactors programme, responsible for leading the end-to-end design, implementation, and stabilisation of UK payroll. You will act as the trusted Payroll SME, guiding stakeholders through payroll modernisation while delivering measurable improvements in accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution design for SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), aligned with EC core HR and overall HCM architecture.
- Define and validate end-to-end payroll processes, including time integration, payroll execution, posting, and payments.
- Own integration design between EC and ECP using point-to-point and middleware-based approaches where required.
- Lead payroll data migration strategy, including wage types, payroll elements, employee master data, tax data, and balances.
- Define and execute payroll testing strategy, covering unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel payroll runs.
- Act as the primary Payroll SME for HR, Finance, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Lead requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, design workshops, and solution walkthroughs.
- Provide expert guidance on payroll defects, configuration issues, and stabilisation activities.
Key Skills
- 12–15 years’ experience in SAP Payroll, with 2–3+ end-to-end UK ECP implementations.
- Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation, schemas, rules, and retroactive accounting.
- Hands-on experience with:

- Payroll Control Center
- Pay Statements
- Banking and Finance Posting
- Time data replication
