Position: Senior ServiceNow IRM Business Functional Consultant

Employment Type: Contract

Role – We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow IRM Business Functional Consultant to support a major Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) transformation programme. This is a business-facing role acting as the bridge between Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Technology teams. You will lead requirements gathering, process design, and functional solution definition across the ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform, helping organisations strengthen governance, improve compliance, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis
    • Facilitate workshops with Risk Management teams, Audit teams, Compliance stakeholders, and Business process owners
    • Analyse and document Regulatory requirements, Risk frameworks, and Governance processes
    • Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Maps, and Workflows
  • ServiceNow IRM Functional Design
    • Design and define solutions across ServiceNow IRM modules, including Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and Regulatory Change Management
    • Define Risk assessment methodologies, Control frameworks, Risk scoring models, and Governance metrics and KPIs
  • Process Optimisation & Governance
    • Review and redesign existing governance, risk, and compliance processes
    • Align processes with industry standards and regulatory requirements
    • Drive Process standardisation, Governance adoption, Audit readiness, and Operational efficiency improvements
  • Implementation & Delivery Support
    • Translate business requirements into Workflows, Notifications, SLAs, and Reporting requirements
    • Collaborate closely with technical teams and developers
    • Validate delivered solutions against business requirements
    • Support Agile delivery activities including Backlog refinement, Sprint reviews, and Functional validation
  • Risk & Compliance Enablement
    • Support creation and maintenance of Risk Registers, Control Libraries, Audit Plans, and Compliance Frameworks
    • Assist with Risk Assessments, Policy Lifecycle Management, and Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Training, Adoption & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business demonstrations, and End-user training sessions
    • Produce training materials and process documentation
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders
    • Support governance maturity and long-term platform adoption

  • Proven experience leading Requirements gathering workshops, Stakeholder interviews, and Functional design sessions

  • Strong understanding of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Internal Controls, Risk Assessment Methodologies, and Regulatory frameworks including SOX, ISO, GDPR and similar standards
