Role: We are seeking an experienced Workday Data Architect to design, implement and optimise data architecture across the Workday ecosystem, with a focus on Workday Financials, data governance, reporting and downstream integrations. This role sits at the intersection of data, finance and enterprise platforms. You will be shaping data models, integration frameworks, reporting structures and architecture standards to support scalable and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture & Modelling
- Define and maintain data architecture strategy for the Workday landscape.
- Lead design workshops with HR, Finance & IT to capture data flow and reporting needs.
- Design, optimise and document Workday data models for financial processes.
- Ensure consistency, compliance and alignment across data governance standards.
- Finance Implementation & Configuration
- Configure two or more Workday Financials modules, such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, Expenses, Banking & Settlement, Assets and Financial Reporting.
- Support Chart of Accounts design, accounting rules, allocations and reporting structures.
- Data Conversion & Reporting
- Lead data conversion and validation for balances, suppliers, customers and historical data.
- Develop and test Workday reports, dashboards and analytics for Finance leadership.
- Manage business processes, approval workflows and controls aligned to audit needs.
- Integration & Solution Design
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless connectivity to external systems including ERP, Payroll, Banking, Tax engines.
- Support Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) process design.
- Align architecture with compliance (SOX, GAAP, IFRS) and audit requirements.
- Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Support testing cycles (unit, E2E, UAT), defect resolution and cutover planning.
- Enable post-go-live hypercare and adoption.
- Engage senior finance stakeholders including CFOs, Controllers & Finance Leads.
