Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U IDE Consultant to support and enhance SAP systems within a critical business operations environment. This role covers the IDE, Device, Meter Works, and Workflow areas of SAP IS-U and involves working closely with IT and business teams on day-to-day support, enhancements, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise across IDE, Device, Meter Works, and Workflow within SAP IS-U.
- Support end users and investigate/resolve incidents raised by business teams.
- Work on SAP change requests, configuration, and enhancement activities.
- Support SMART projects and/or AMI/MDMS integration requirements.
- Identify and recommend SAP process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in specification, development, and testing of SAP enhancements.
- Prepare functional specifications and support ABAP, Basis, and Security teams during build phases.
- Support functional, integration, performance, and regression testing cycles.
- Produce audit-ready documentation and ensure smooth transition of changes to support teams.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation alongside Team Leads and Solution Architects.
Key Skills
- Strong hands-on functional experience in SAP IS-U across IDE, Device, Meter Works, and Workflow areas.
- Good understanding of service orders, notifications, tasks, and bulk order creation.
- Experience creating functional specifications and supporting full testing lifecycle.
- Strong documentation skills for audit and transition purposes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
