  • Customer & Commercial Management
  • Act as the primary customer-facing contact across delivery, resourcing, schedules, commercials and engagement performance.
  • Identify scope creep, SOW deviations and delivery risks, supporting Change Orders and corrective actions where required.
  • Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to manage financial burn, contracted hours, invoicing and revenue forecasting.
  • Portfolio & Resource Management
  • Manage resource planning, scheduling and utilisation across multiple concurrent Service Now engagements.
  • Monitor consultant performance, delivery health and SOW commitments, escalating risks and resolving resourcing gaps.
  • Coordinate consultant onboarding, offboarding, access, customer introductions and engagement readiness.
  • Coach and mentor Engagement Managers and delivery teams, driving delivery quality, innovation and customer value realisation.
  • Key Skills
  • 8+ years' Professional Services / Service Now delivery and Project Management experience, with a track record leading large, complex enterprise engagements.
  • Strong Service Now platform knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM and enterprise workflows, with an understanding of solution design, architecture and Service Now integrations.
  • Proven Engagement Management and customer-facing delivery leadership, managing programmes against SOW, budget, schedule, scope and business outcomes.
  • Strong experience across programme/project governance, RAID/RIDAC, resource planning, financial management, forecasting and executive reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed delivery teams, partners and multiple concurrent customer engagements, balancing resources and competing priorities.
  • Strong technical awareness with the ability to review and govern Service Now solution design, configuration, integrations, testing and technical documentation.
  • Experience facilitating current-state / future-state workshops and supporting scalable Service Now workflow and transformation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AI-enabled Service Now workflows, using AI to improve processes, insights, decision-making and customer outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, commercial awareness and communication skills, with the confidence to manage expectations, difficult conversations and senior customer relationships.

How to prepare for a job interview at Focus on SAP

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
