Role – A leading global organisation is seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant with strong hands-on SAP ECC Materials Management expertise to join a major SAP transformation programme. The role sits within a SAP Brownfield Implementation and Enhancement Programme, supporting the organisation's longer-term transition towards a modern SAP S/4HANA landscape. The programme has a strong focus on clean-core principles, standard SAP functionality, reducing technical debt and improving operational agility.
The successful consultant will be responsible for supporting and enhancing SAP MM processes within the existing SAP ECC environment, with particular emphasis on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchasing, Procurement, Inventory Management, Master Data and FI integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain and support SAP MM within an ECC environment.
- Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Configure and support:
- Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Purchase Orders (PO)
- Contracts
- Scheduling Agreements
- Goods Receipt (GR)
- Invoice Verification
- Support Inventory Management including stock movements and valuation.
- Maintain Material Master and Vendor Master data.
- Support integration between SAP MM and FI, including Invoice Verification, GR/IR and payment-related processes.
- Work across integrations with SAP FI, SD and WM.
- Provide production support within a live SAP ECC environment.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and user issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues.
- Deliver configuration changes, minor enhancements and process improvements.
- Support pricing procedures, release strategies and account determination.
- Work closely with procurement, supply chain and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to operational efficiency and continuous process improvement.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) within SAP ECC, including configuration and production support.
- Strong end-to-end understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, covering Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Goods Receipt and Invoice Verification.
- Hands-on expertise across Purchasing, including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts and Scheduling Agreements.
- Strong Inventory Management experience, including stock movements and valuation.
- Experience managing Material Master and Vendor Master data.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM integration with FI, particularly Invoice Verification, GR/IR and payment processes.
- Proven experience working within live / production SAP ECC environments.
- Experience providing production support, including incident handling, troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Ability to deliver SAP MM configuration changes, enhancements and user issue resolution.
- Good knowledge of pricing procedures, release strategies and account determination.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Procurement and Supply Chain business processes.
- Experience working across integrated SAP environments and collaborating with FI, SD and WM functional teams.
