Role – We are seeking an experienced UK Payroll SME with SAP SuccessFactors experience to provide hands-on expertise across payroll operations, configuration, and compliance. This is a business-critical role supporting payroll delivery, enhancements, and optimisation, working closely with HR, Finance, IT, and third-party payroll providers to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the UK Payroll SME, providing expert guidance, support, and issue resolution.
- Configure, customise, and support payroll systems in line with UK payroll legislation.
- Ensure full compliance with UK requirements including PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, statutory payments, and year-end processing.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead or support end-to-end payroll implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in testing cycles, documentation creation, and user training.
- Advise stakeholders on payroll best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.
Key Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience as a UK Payroll SME.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience integrating payroll solutions with SAP, non-SAP, Salesforce, or third-party payroll systems.
- Hands-on experience with payroll schema and rule configuration, including troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to work effectively with both functional and technical teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
- Broader exposure to SAP HCM, including Time Management and Personnel Administration.
