The Opportunity

Focus on DF are partnered with a well-known UK hospitality and retail business to hire a Labour Optimisation Manager. You\\\’ll be working alongside the team to enhance how labour is planned, deployed, and adapted across 50+ sites.

You’ll be the bridge between data, systems, and operations — translating labour model insights into real-world improvements. It’s a hands-on role that mixes strategic thinking, system optimisation, and on-the-ground influence.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and maintain labour models across multiple brands and regions
  • Use historical and predictive data to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Support system configuration and scheduling logic using Dayforce Advanced Scheduling
  • Deliver reporting and analysis that drives smarter deployment
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Data, and HR teams to align on goals
  • Build trust with site managers and support cultural change on the ground
  • Translate strategic workforce plans into practical labour model changes
  • Help drive budgeting and workforce planning cycles with data-led insight

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in labour modelling, workforce planning, or WFM system optimisation
  • Strong analytical and data skills — confident with Excel, reports, and forecasting
  • Experience using WFM platforms (Dayforce ideal; UKG, Kronos, Quinyx also considered)
  • Background in retail, hospitality, or franchise environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills — able to influence without authority
  • Experience working with or within central ops, people analytics, or finance teams
  • Flexibility to travel to UK sites (typically 1–3 days/week depending on need)
