About the Role
You will work with a range of teams across technical NPD, Process, Quality and Buying teams to keep raw material controls watertight. You’ll manage and maintain up-to-date Insight specifications for all raw materials, ensure supplier approval is rock solid, and risk assess each material to meet food safety, customer and legal requirements.
You’ll liaise directly with suppliers to gather technical data, support site risk assessments, and make sure our raw material records are always audit-ready. Your work will underpin compliance with Quality Management Systems, GMP, HACCP, and customer-specific requirements – with your reports and KPIs giving the site a clear view of performance.
About You
You’re not just ticking boxes – you’re thinking ahead, spotting potential issues, and acting before they impact production. You’ll bring:
- Previous food industry technical experience (ideally in raw materials or supplier assurance)
- HACCP Level 3 or above
- Strong technical skills with Excel and specification systems
- Confident communication with everyone from suppliers to site leadership
- The ability to work both in a team and independently, with a flexible approach to changing priorities
