Great opportunity for a Head of Procurement to join a leading innovative food business in Central London.
This is an exciting role within a well-established food business going through a planned period of growth. They have a strong heritage and a strong reputation for quality and innovation. They are now looking for a Head of Procurement to join their talented procurement function. You will be responsible for all buying around existing products and to enable the business to grow you will manage existing supplier relationships and build a co-manufacturing supply base to facilitate the ongoing NPD pipeline to support the growth of the business.
Reporting into the Procurement Director you develop and implement long term strategic plans to support this growth whilst managing and maintaining the strategic supplier relationships for ingredients and raw materials and leading a small team. Excellent relationship skills are essential as you will drive value within the current supply base, ensuring competitive advantage whilst proactively build a co-manufacturing supply base to support this growth.
You will need to be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and have significant experience at Senior Buyer level, within the food industry, buying ingredients. A proven track record of strategic supplier management and strategic sourcing is essential as is proven strong decision-making skills. Your relationship skills will be first class, and you will be used to dealing at Managing Director level. European travel is essential in this role and fluency in a second European language would be a real advantage.
