Head of Procurement, Food Manufacturing West Midlands Attractive Package Bonus Benefits Opportunity for a Head of Procurement to join a multi-site food business at an exciting time within procurement. My client is a leading food manufacturing business working closely with all areas of the food industry. They are now looking for an experienced ingredients procurement expert to join the business as Head of Procurement. You will manage a team of talented individuals, and your overall aim will be to ensure a sustainable supply structure for the UK businesses. You\’ll be heading up the team managing a large spend, a complex supply base in challenging, unpredictable market conditions. Working in partnership with the senior level stakeholders in the UK and globally you\’ll work collaboratively with the NPD, technical, and commercial teams, driving procurement excellence within the business. Key responsibilities include: To lead and develop the Procurement Strategy for the business Establish and maintain supplier partnerships with key supplier partners on a global basis Monitor key commodities and define strategic sourcing requirements Negotiate best terms and cost prices Identify, lead, and manage cost saving initiatives Work with key stakeholders to aid business vision and goals Develop suppliers to meet both short, medium, and long-term business requirements You will need in depth knowledge of the supplier markets in the commodity ingredients category ideally on a global level. You\’ll have previous senior management and leadership experience and the ability to work as part of a high functioning team.
