Not a “lab-only” role. Not a desk job. Not for people who get nervous near a production line. Let’s be honest… If your idea of a great food development job is sitting behind a desk at home, this probably isn’t for you. This is a role for someone who likes to get stuck in. We’re talking pilot plants, factory floors, face-to-face with major customers. Getting your hands dusty (literally) formulating innovative ingredient solutions that actually work in real-life production. And, better yet, they taste good too.

Who you’ll be working with: You’ll report to the R&D Manager – a great leader who knows their stuff. You’ll be part of a talented team of R&D professionals who are passionate about creating great products. Their customers are major food industry players. When they need innovation, you’ll bring it. When they need troubleshooting, you’ll show up on-site and fix it. You’ll build real relationships with them – because they trust your knowledge and innovative mindset.

What you’ll actually be doing:

  • Turning customer briefs into commercially viable products
  • Going on-site to support trials and launches – this isn’t a lab-only role
  • Using your knowledge of ingredients to solve problems and make good things better
  • Helping the business stay ahead by researching new market trends
  • Pitching in when teammates need support

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine interest in culinary food development
  • Experience taking products from concept to launch
  • Comfortable getting face-time with customers and working hands-on in production
  • Strong technical knowledge of ingredients and how they behave
  • Willingness to travel (UK and occasionally overseas)
  • A food-related degree or equivalent experience

If that’s you, hit apply. Or contact Rachel to chat through the details.
