As a Category Buying Manager, you’ll oversee a significant spend area in the impulse category – shaping the strategies and driving growth for key clients in this dynamic sector.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with key suppliers that promote efficient ways of working with an innovative and strategic approach.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required.
  • Full awareness of market trends identifying opportunities to develop ranges and excite our customers.
  • Ensure a safe supply chain for employees, clients, and consumers.
  • Retention activities related to categories, suppliers, and products within assigned portfolios.

You will need the following:

  • Strong Category procurement or National Account Management experience within the Impulse Sector.
  • Retail buying experience.
  • Experience of complex supplier, distributor and client management.
  • Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure.
  • Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions.
  • A collaborative team player that brings people together to deliver results.
  • Strategic thinker who can demonstrate impact and influence across an organisation.
  • A “Can Do” attitude to resolve issues and take learnings to drive ongoing Continuous Improvement.

The role offers a couple of days a week working from home, but candidates should live within a reasonable commute of the office in Central London.
