Hygiene Manager, £38k – £42k, Worcestershire. Hygiene Manager, Food Manufacturing, lead hygiene excellence in a high-performing food production environment.
In the fast-moving world of FMCG and food manufacturing, hygiene is the cornerstone of quality, safety, and customer trust. We are seeking a Hygiene Manager (also referred to as Food Hygiene Manager or Hygiene Compliance Manager) to lead the night shift hygiene function, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and “audit ready” standards at all times. This is a great opportunity for a proven leader to shape hygiene strategy, inspire a skilled team and deliver measurable impact across site operations. Reporting to the Night Shift Operations Manager, you’ll drive performance through effective leadership, financial accountability and continuous improvement. You’ll working closely with production, technical and engineering teams to ensure the site achieves the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the night shift hygiene team
- Managing budgets, resources, and supplier partnerships
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, BRC standards, and customer requirements
- Overseeing chemical control, cleaning practices, and risk assessments
- Driving a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Hygiene management experience in food manufacturing
- HACCP Level 3 (minimum)
- Strong knowledge of hygiene systems, chemicals, and BRC/customer standards
- Proven people management and influencing skills
- Experience in budget management and cost efficiency
