Here’s an opportunity to use your culinary skills and ability to teach others in the charity sector. This is a rare opportunity to shape a brand-new role. Here you’ll be working in the community to teach cookery skills. You’ll be creating menus for community and corporate events. You’ll be using your creativity to create delicious and nutritious meals from surplus food. You’ll help to champion food waste reduction. Day to day you’ll be responsible for managing the kitchen, organising menus and courses. It will be a varied role, with different plans each day. You’ll be responsible for managing rotas, costs, stock, hygiene, and health & safety. You’ll be based at a brand-new site with a well-invested commercial kitchen and training area. There’s huge scope and ambition to develop the facility, engaging with the community and delivering high-profile events. This role would suit an experienced chef / kitchen manager who enjoys teaching others. Someone who can be creative in the kitchen with seasonal ingredients and minimises food waste. You would mainly be working Mon-Fri days with the occasional evening event. It’s a 35 hour a week contract with 28 days annual leave (plus the eight bank holidays) Want to know more?
