Role Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing rubbish, and handling coffee/tea makers, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.
  • Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and company policies.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests to deliver a great customer experience.
  • Notify your Supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
  • Report any guest requests or room maintenance requirements immediately.
  • Respond to guest complaints and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimise waste within all areas of housekeeping.
  • Abide by Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and wear provided safety equipment as required.
  • Report, turn in, and log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure quality and service.
  • May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects and may have turndown duties.
  • Other tasks as assigned by your Line Manager.
