New Bath Hotel & Spa is a beautiful 54‑bedroom hotel located in the heart of Matlock Bath, within the scenic Peak District National Park.

The hotel stands as a testament to the area’s rich history, with origins tracing back to 1745 when it began as a bathing establishment centred around a natural spring that still flows today.

The hotel features a historic outdoor swimming pool known as the New Bath Hotel Lido.

Established in 1934, this unique lido is supplied by mineral‑rich spring water from the nearby mountainside, ensuring a natural and chemical‑free swimming experience.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained in all areas; bedrooms, corridors, function rooms and public areas.
  • Support the Assistant/Head Housekeeper in the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms and public areas to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance/Engineering Department and follow up to ensure that faults are rectified efficiently.
  • Provide a positive approach to guests, anticipating their needs wherever possible and responding to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure any guest property left behind is logged and stored in a secure location for lost property; resolve any guest problems or complaints when possible and keep management informed.
  • Attend all H&S, Fire and Food Safety Training as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and a safe system of work appropriate to the role.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
