With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
- As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service within the Bar and Restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations.
- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
- To be responsible for the service and wellbeing of our guests.
- To assist in the set up and closedown of the Bar & Restaurant.
- Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
- Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.
- Maintain a high standard of Restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices.
- Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures.
- Prepare all back of house service points with regard to expected numbers for breakfast, lunch or dinner requirements as necessary.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
Key Requirements
- Previous Food & Beverage experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills.
- Flexibility – to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
- A warm and friendly personality.
- Good teamwork skills - we want work to be fun for all our employees.
- Have a genuine interest in providing hospitality to our customer.
