The Opportunity

Focus Group is a £300m-revenue technology services company backed by Hg Capital, executing an ambitious Value Creation Plan to strengthen our operating platform and unlock growth. We are seeking a Transformation Lead to take ownership of specific VCP initiatives whilst playing a key coordination role across our transformation portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5-6 years of consulting or mixed consulting/operational experience who wants to move beyond pure advisory work into hands-on delivery with measurable business impact.

Requirements

The Role

  • Lead delivery of assigned VCP initiatives from design through implementation and measurable value realisation
  • Own change management strategies and execution plans that drive employee and customer adoption for your initiative portfolio
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement, coordinate timelines, and remove barriers to delivery
  • Maintain transformation governance cadence including working groups, steering committees, and progress tracking
  • Produce board materials, management reporting, and executive updates on initiative progress and benefits realisation
  • Support DSP to track KPIs, lead indicators, and programme health metrics across the full VCP portfolio
  • Work with DSP to manage the broader VCP roadmap and prioritisation
  • Contribute to building transformation capability and best practices across Focus Group

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • 5-6 years' experience in management consulting, or a blend of consulting and start-up/corporate transformation roles
  • Track record of delivering cross-functional change initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Strong programme management skills including stakeholder engagement, timeline coordination, and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to produce crisp board-level materials and influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and ability to connect initiatives to business value and financial outcomes
  • Analytical problem-solving approach with comfort using data to guide decisions
  • Bias for action – able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Desirable:

  • Experience in B2B technology-driven businesses
  • Exposure to PE-backed or rapidly scaling organisations
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or data-led transformation programmes
