Who are Focus Group?
Focus Group is one of the UK’s fastest-growing business technology providers, delivering essential services that keep businesses connected, supported, and performing at their best. From telecoms to energy, we pride ourselves on our people-first culture, strong growth, and creating real opportunities for our teams to build long-term careers.
We’re looking for a Sales Support Executive to join our growing Energy team in Shoreham-by-Sea. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make things happen—supporting a fast-paced sales environment while building valuable operational experience. It’s a hands-on, team-focused role where you’ll play a key part in keeping everything running smoothly. Importantly, this isn’t a “dead-end” position—we’re looking for someone who wants to develop, grow, and shape the role over time as the team continues to expand.
What you’ll be doing
- Contracts & Processing
- Accurately process energy contracts from submission to completion
- Manage and maintain data across supplier portals and internal systems
- Validate contract details, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution
- Track supplier responses and support commission and query reconciliation
- Sales Team Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to a busy, high-energy sales team
- Step in to support the wider team during quieter processing periods
- Help gather and organise customer information
- Keep things moving by supporting communication, coordination, and organisation
Energy is fast-paced and time-sensitive, so adaptability is key—you’ll need to be someone who enjoys variety and thrives on supporting others.
What we’re looking for
- We’re open-minded on background, but we’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience with an energy provider (B2B) – desirable
- Has strong administrative and data accuracy skills with excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a team-first, supportive environment
- Is proactive and adaptable, happy to switch between tasks as priorities change
- Brings a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
- Is keen to learn, grow, and develop their career within Focus Group
This role is not a sales position, but it sits at the heart of a sales team—so being comfortable in that environment and supporting its pace is essential.
Why join us?
- A real opportunity to grow your role and career as the team expands
- Exposure to both operational and commercial aspects of the business
- A supportive, energetic culture where your contribution is valued
- Hybrid working once established in the role
- The chance to be part of a company that’s genuinely going places
