About Focus Group

Focus Group is one of the UK's leading providers of IT, Telecoms, Connectivity, Cyber Security and Cloud solutions. As we continue to grow our Corporate customer base, we're looking for an experienced leader to join our Operations function and take ownership of some of our most strategic customer relationships and complex delivery programmes.

The Role

This is a highly visible leadership role, designed to bridge the gap between operational delivery teams and Focus Group's most complex customers. As Head of Corporate Operations, you will act as the senior accountable owner across a portfolio of high-value corporate customers and strategic programmes. You'll provide executive-level relationship management, commercial oversight, and programme governance, ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience while enabling successful delivery across multiple operational functions.

Working closely with the Technical Director, Corporate Director, Service Operations Director and Head of Service Delivery Management, you'll be responsible for leading at the highest level—removing blockers, managing risk, resolving escalations, and providing the strategic direction needed to drive successful outcomes for both our customers and the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the executive sponsor for a portfolio of Focus Group's most complex and strategically important customers
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Providing leadership and oversight across large-scale customer programmes and transformation initiatives
  • Managing senior-level escalations, commercial challenges, and customer expectations
  • Working alongside Account Directors and Service Delivery Managers to drive successful customer outcomes
  • Representing Focus Group at executive governance meetings, steering committees and strategic reviews
  • Supporting programme governance through effective risk management, issue resolution and executive reporting
  • Driving accountability across multiple operational functions, including Professional Services, Project Management, Service Delivery and Service Desk teams
  • Championing a consistent and exceptional customer experience across the full customer lifecycle
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction, retention, commercial performance and service risks across the corporate customer segment
  • Supporting major customer onboarding projects, acquisitions, service launches and wider transformation initiatives
  • Contributing to operational strategy and business planning as a member of the Operations leadership team
  • Supporting pre-sales activities, customer presentations, bids and tenders, helping shape successful solutions and delivery approaches

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in a senior client-facing leadership role within an MSP, technology services provider or systems integrator
  • Proven success managing complex, high-value corporate customer relationships
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-suite and executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong programme leadership experience across large, multi-workstream technology projects
  • A track record of balancing customer outcomes, delivery commitments and commercial objectives
  • Strong understanding of modern networking, cloud and managed technology services
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially astute with experience of contracts, service credits and account growth
  • Comfortable leading through influence within a matrix organisation
  • Highly organised with a structured approach to governance, risk and programme delivery
  • Resilient, politically astute and confident managing difficult conversations and escalations
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to unite teams around a common goal

Why Focus Group?

  • Opportunity to influence some of Focus Group's largest and most strategic customer relationships
  • Join a growing, ambitious technology business with significant investment and momentum
  • Work alongside a high-performing senior leadership team
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping operational excellence and customer success
  • Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package
  • Excellent opportunities for professional growth and career development
