We’re Hiring: Assistant Financial Accountant

Location: Shoreham-by-Sea (HQ)

Salary: up to £35,000 depending on experience

Full time but we are able to consider part-time hours for a suitable candidate

We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Assistant Financial Accountant to support our expanding finance team. This is a full-time role based at our Shoreham-by-Sea HQ and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in compliance, statutory reporting, and corporate finance across a dynamic and growing group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory year-end accounts compliant with FRS 102 for approximately 65 entities
  • Support the production of corporation tax computations and CT600 filings
  • Assist with quarterly VAT returns for over 20 entities within the group
  • Contribute to broader compliance processes including R&D claims, CIS Tax, ONS filings, and corporation tax calculations
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system
  • Assist with company rationalisation projects and group restructuring
  • Help manage CCO and SAO compliance procedures

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience with statutory accounts and corporation tax
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence in analysing and presenting financial data
  • A methodical, collaborative working style with excellent attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Working towards a professional qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA)
  • Experience using Sage 50, Sage 200, or Xero
  • Background working with multi-entity group structures
