Focus Financial partner firm, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, is seeking an Accounts Production Assistant Manager. The role supports business management groups with day‑to‑day financial control functions for UK and international entertainment client base while working closely with the tax department. Reports directly to the head of the accounts department. Position based in London office on a full‑time basis with potential for hybrid working post 4‑month probation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparation of year‑end accounts including statutory accounts for Limited company and LLP under FRS102 1A, partnership and sole trader accounts
  • Annual accounts for portfolio of clients for Director and Managing Director review, including:
    • Job planning
    • Liaison with business management department to resolve year‑end accounting queries
    • Liaison with client account team where appropriate
    • Preparation of Excel working papers
    • Reconciliation of balance‑sheet accounts where required
    • Input QuickBooks trial balances into CCH accounts production programme
    • Prepare notes to accounts based on accounting standards (normally FRS102 1A)
    • Consider accounting policy issues such as income recognition under FRS 102
    • Prepare list of points for Director and Managing Director attention
    • Prepare accounts from incomplete records
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for tax department review
  • Assist bookkeepers and senior accounts staff with accounting issues that arise during the year
  • Prepare and review VAT returns
  • Company secretarial matters, including preparation of annual confirmation statements and company formation
  • Supervise and train junior staff
  • Assist with maintenance of the CCH client database
  • Management accounts
  • Ad‑hoc projects including business plans and cash flow forecasts

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and consultative skills
  • Comfortable communicating across all levels of the organisation
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Familiarity with CCH and QuickBooks highly preferred
