- Experience carrying out repairs and alterations of clothing
- Experience using industrial sewing machines and related equipment
- Ability to use, manipulate, and maintain specialized equipment such as industrial sewing machines, steam irons, ironing presses, and overlock machines
- Ability to read, understand, and evaluate patterns, drawings, and specifications
