Senior PR Account Director

Focus 5 Recruitment are proud to be working with a growing and innovative B2B Tech PR agency based in Manchester, as they look to recruit a Senior PR Account Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, commercially-minded PR professional to lead on major client accounts, develop long-term relationships, and contribute to the ongoing success of a dynamic and award-winning agency.

We’re looking for someone with experience in the B2B tech space, who can combine high-level client strategy with hands-on PR delivery. You’ll play a leading role in shaping campaign direction, mentoring a talented team, and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients across the technology sector.

Key responsibilities for the Senior PR Account Director:

  • Lead on the strategic direction and execution of integrated PR campaigns for a portfolio of B2B tech clients
  • Act as the senior point of contact for clients, building strong partnerships and delivering measurable results
  • Oversee media relations strategy, ensuring high-impact coverage across trade, national and international press
  • Guide and mentor a team of PR professionals, supporting their growth and ensuring high-quality output
  • Work closely with leadership on new business development, including pitching and onboarding new clients
  • Develop content strategies, thought leadership pieces, press releases, and media materials
  • Monitor campaign performance and use data-driven insights to refine and optimise activity
  • Stay ahead of tech trends and the media landscape to ensure clients remain relevant and ahead of the curve

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior PR role within a B2B or tech-focused agency
  • Strong understanding of the B2B tech landscape and how to craft compelling stories for complex businesses
  • Confident strategist with excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A collaborative leader who can inspire a team and manage multiple projects with ease
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on quality, creativity, and delivering client value
  • Experience in business development or growing client accounts would be a real advantage
  • A passion for innovation, technology and the evolving media world

Previous experience in a Senior Account Director role in a PR agency would allow access to the higher end of the salary bracket.
