Focus 5 Recruitment are supporting a growing and well-established Marketing Agency in central Manchester in their search for an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to join the team in a hybrid role. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious agency where you’ll take ownership of the digital strategy function across a varied portfolio of clients. As Digital Marketing Strategist, you’ll lead on digital direction, support campaign delivery where needed, and manage a small team alongside external specialists and freelancers. With digital channels evolving constantly, you’ll play a key role in helping clients maximise performance across every touchpoint.
The agency has exciting growth plans, a strong reputation in the market, and a client base that spans both the UK and international markets. The role offers a flexible hybrid setup with 3 days per week in their Manchester city centre office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Acting as the lead for digital strategy across the agency, advising on the most effective digital channels and approaches for clients.
- Supporting the delivery of SEO, CRM, email marketing and social media campaigns.
- Creating digital proposals for new business opportunities and providing strategic consultancy to existing clients.
- Developing and implementing performance-focused digital strategies alongside internal teams.
- Working with external partners and subcontractors on website and digital development projects.
- Contributing to wider integrated marketing strategies for clients.
- Building clear digital processes and workflows for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring campaign performance, analysing results and making tactical recommendations where required.
- Producing monthly and quarterly digital performance reports for clients.
- Managing and mentoring 2 digital team members along with freelancers and external specialists.
- Supporting the future growth of the agency’s digital offering through strategic team development and recruitment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within digital marketing or digital strategy.
- Previous agency experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
- Strong knowledge across digital strategy, SEO, CRM systems, social media and email marketing.
- A commercially minded and data-driven approach to decision making.
- Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced agency environment.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience planning, managing and evaluating multi-channel digital campaigns.
