Reporting to the Director of Market Development, the Manager of Market Development UK/EU leads the UK/EU-based MDR team to high productivity and performance. Supported by a world-class demand generation program, this role is responsible for both building and managing pipelines for the European market. The role will oversee the Outbound program for the EU team, crafting and testing messaging and best practices through their own outreach then activating those across the team. Working closely with the Director of Market Development, they act as the primary coach for the EU MDR team, identifying areas for skill development, creating actionable solutions, and monitoring for improvement. Additionally, as a leader in the marketing organization, they play a pivotal role in developing strategies to penetrate the EU market, scale programs, and drive revenue and will be in Europe for remote work.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Consistently achieve personal and team targeted monthly pipeline quotas and outbound generation goals.
- Ensure the EU MDR team performs with high-activity levels and high conversion from lead-to-opportunity.
- Track and report on key KPIs indicating health of EU MDR team and pipeline.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product departments to penetrate market segments, targeted accounts, and optimise event marketing.
- Execute ABM marketing motions to generate leads from new clients and existing customers.
- Collaborate with key marketing and MDR leadership team members to craft outbound and ABM-style email cadences and templates.
- Develop strong knowledge of our product offerings and industry, and apply that towards email creation, phone call coaching, pitch creation, and prospect presentations when needed.
- Represent TraceGains at key field marketing events, acting as a brand ambassador by interfacing with media, analysts, and press. Plus acting as moderator or session speaker when needed.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and contacts in the market by leveraging available tools (Zoominfo, Demandbase, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Build rapport with prospective clients while working to qualify them. Act as liaison for the Account Executive, helping to book meetings and calls until hand-off is complete.
- Gain a deep understanding of inbound and outbound marketing programs, how leads are sourced and move through the funnel, along with knowledge of tactics that help re-engage stale leads.
- Contribute European market and sales insight to help with the creation of campaigns and initiatives that increase lead volume and revenue conversion for the business.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Proven success with prospecting and selling skills to land new accounts.
- Highly self-motivated with competitive drive.
- Strong communicator and public speaker with excellent phone communication and presentation skills.
- Must have at least 5 years of MDR/SDR, Sales, or Marketing experience.
- Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Experience using martech tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Sales Navigator, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, Enable, etc. strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in ABM tactics and best sales practices.
- Multilingual is an advantage but not a requirement (German, Italian, French, Dutch, Spanish).
- Must be willing to learn and adapt as necessary to accommodate changes in industry and company directions.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be a positive team player, willing to grow and change.
- Occasional domestic and international travel required for department meetings, all company events, in-person seminars/networking events, etc.
