The Figaro product team within FNZ Group Technologies specialises in understanding the needs of wealth managers and other investment firms, and translating those needs into solutions that advance and transform our clientsβ businesses.
As part of the Figaro product team these solutions cover a wide remit including Model B custody services, dealing in international exchange traded instruments, and SIPP administration.
The product manager role is a key role within the Figaro team, and will provide leadership and expertise in the following areas:
Maintaining the Figaro product roadmap
Ensuring customer requirements satisfy the wider product requirements
Regulation and advice on platform compliance
Ensure smooth change rollout to Figaro customers
Understanding the wider FNZ technology stack and where components can be reused.
Organisational Design
The Figaro product team is an integral part of the FNZ Group Product team, working closely with customers, the business development, and delivery teams.
Team Responsibilities
The Figaro product team is responsible for providing a range of high value services to FNZ Customers. This includes being responsible for defining and implementing the Figaro product strategy and roadmap.
It involves working with Figaro customers in a variety of contexts including proposition definition, business transformation, customer training and knowledge transfer, and the definition of bespoke requirements where required for customer platform solutions. The product team also work closely with the development teams, providing requirements and design oversight and approval. For customer led developments, the product team will also ensure the requirements fit the wider product strategy.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Work with FNZ customers to help define proposition and product requirements. Provide Market expertise as required. Be an SME in FNZ Figaro functionality and apply this understanding to help customers define propositions that best utilise or enhance platform capabilities
Provide, review and quality assurance of design documentation produced by the FNZ delivery teams
Setting product strategy for key aspects of Figaro
Have a good knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the Figaro customers operates, and provide advice and guidance to customers in respect of delivering a compliant platform
Independently manage internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
Experience required
Degree or equivalent in a Finance or Economics related field preferred
General investment and wealth industry knowledge
Interest in technology solutions and technology delivery
Be able to evidence establishing an environment of continuous improvement and capability development
Confident, and able to take initiative in a client β and delivery-focused environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to build key relationships within the organisation and with our customers
Ability to challenge customers and stakeholders to deliver on objectives
Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style
Superior analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills
Commercially aware
Experience in a consulting, analysis or architecture environment
2+ years of experience in a delivery/consulting environment in the UK financial services/wealth market.
Preferred Non-Essential Industry Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of markets in which FNZ and our customers operate
An understanding of the UK regulatory environment and a good working knowledge of the regulatory change requirements for a given year
Experience working within a product management team with a view of the end-to-end delivery cycle
Experience managing a wide network of key stakeholders, including Senior Management
