M&E Design Engineer

Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for building projects (commercial, residential, or industrial), including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
2. Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice (e.g., Building Regulations, IET Wiring Regulations, ASHRAE, etc.).
3. Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the design is integrated with the overall project plan.
4. Assist in the development of project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and designs are completed on time.
5. Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to confirm the technical feasibility and cost of the designs.
6. Provide expert advice and solutions on M&E systems, contributing to technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Identify and implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions within the design, in line with environmental and cost-saving goals.
