Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for building projects (commercial, residential, or industrial), including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice (e.g., Building Regulations, IET Wiring Regulations, ASHRAE, etc.).
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the design is integrated with the overall project plan.
- Assist in the development of project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and designs are completed on time.
- Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to confirm the technical feasibility and cost of the designs.
- Provide expert advice and solutions on M&E systems, contributing to technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions within the design, in line with environmental and cost-saving goals.
