FMS Fire and Security provide consultancy, design, tender, installation, commissioning, training, maintenance and service for single, integrated and multi-discipline electronic fire and security systems. These systems incorporate Fire Detection, Fire Extinguishing Systems, Intruder Alarms, Closed Circuit Television, Access Control, Emergency Lighting and Voice Evacuation Systems, as well as Gates, Barriers, Turnstiles, Cabling and Security Lighting.

Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager - Service to grow our service and maintenance portfolio.
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role combining:
Account growth and retention
You will play a key role in driving sustainable growth by securing new contracts and developing long-term relationships with key customers.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
New Business & Service Sales- Identify and win new service and maintenance contracts across fire & security systems
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and proactive business development
- Convert installation projects into long-term service agreements
- Conduct site surveys and service reviews
- Prepare, present and negotiate service proposals and contracts
- Deliver against revenue and recurring income targets
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts
- Act as the primary relationship owner for strategic clients
- Conduct regular service reviews and performance meetings
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities (upgrades, compliance works, monitoring)
- Support contract renewals and secure long-term agreements
- Develop and execute account growth plans
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Manage contract renewals proactively and reduce attrition
- Grow accounts into multi-site and multi-service contracts
- Work with operations to continuously improve service delivery
- Gather customer and market insight to support growth strategy
Skills and Experience required
- Proven track record in business development, service sales, or account management
- Experience growing recurring revenue and service contracts
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication ability
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within fire & security or FM services
- Knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control or compliance-based services
- Experience managing key or strategic accounts
