We have a great new opportunity for a Fresh Produce Sales Manager to join a well-known successful Fresh Produce company in Kent. They have a fantastic trading team and are keen for someone to join with experience working with UK Retail customers. You will have an excellent understanding of how the UK Fresh Produce industry works. You will help to drive performance across the team and existing external stakeholders, whilst also introducing new customers and suppliers. You will be involved in helping to manage all aspects of the relationships they have developed with their existing customers, ensuring they receive the best possible service and helping them to maximise their sales opportunities.
What we are looking for?
- We are looking for somebody with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience working in a Sales and/or Procurement capacity with a background of working with fresh produce, particularly fruit.
- You will have developed strong supplier and customer relationships that you can bring with you to this role, together with evidence of a financially successful trading record.
- You will be proficient in supply chain processes, with a good understanding of world geography and experience of managing logistical issues in terms of moving products globally.
- Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish, would be a distinct advantage in this role.
- You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, be accustomed to working to tight timescales and feel comfortable managing a number of different tasks simultaneously.
- You’ll be IT literate, especially with MS Word and Excel and ideally have experience of using an ERP system, although training will be provided.
- You must be a confident communicator, with a strong outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, assisting with queries and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
