FMGS is a niche commercial law firm and private client is one of our core service offerings. We are looking for a talented private client lawyer of 10 years PQE + to join at Partner level to service our quality private client base, to shape our future private client offering and to build a team. This is a key strategic appointment and demonstrates our commitment to and investment in the practice area. Our private client work is high quality and low volume and we hold a select will bank. We work with high net worth individuals and their families advising them on inheritance tax and succession planning. Our private client Partner will work closely with the corporate team advising SME owners pre-exit on estate planning. You will be experienced in the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts and the administration of estates, including those with foreign assets. You will also be a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Experience in advising farming families on succession planning would be an advantage but is not a must.

- 10 years or more post-qualified experience in private client law.
- Extensive experience in wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estate administration.
- Full membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
- Strong understanding of inheritance tax, succession planning and international assets.
- Experience advising farming families is an advantage but not required.
