We are currently looking for another experienced Vehicle Image Engineer to join our thriving team in Huddersfield.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep knowledge of vehicle damage assessment, and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
As our FMG Vehicle desktop assessor, you will be responsible for preparing an engineer\’s report on behalf of insurance companies.
You will check all documents containing information on any physical damage, vehicle information, vehicle images, as well as any vital information regarding the vehicle, and make necessary amendments as required.
This is a hybrid desktop role, following initial 100% office-based training on our internal systems and report writing.

About you
• Previous proven body shop estimating experience (VDA with ATA accreditation), desktop engineering-based insurance work or body shop repairs (Paint/Panel Techs).
• Experience of motor vehicles, familiarity with all types of damage and repair methods
• Good understanding and knowledge of estimating and valuation tools, especially Audatex
• Knowledge and experience of the commercial vehicle accident repair sector.
• Experience of Commercial vehicles will be helpful along with exposure to an insurance or claims operating environment.
• Highly conscientious and self-motivated, with an eye for detail and proven problem-solving skills, you will gain genuine satisfaction from finding ways to continually provide exceptional customer service.
• An outstanding communicator and negotiator, you will also have strong questioning and listening skills, together with an ability to quickly develop rapport with customers and suppliers over the phone.
• A strong team player, you will strive to ensure the achievement of personal goals as well as providing support to colleagues.
