Location: Home-based, with 1 day per week at our head office in Huddersfield

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for owning the full new business process – from identifying and qualifying prospects to pitching, negotiating, and securing long-term relationships. Backed by a strong in-house team including marketing, finance, and implementation support, you’ll play a leading role in driving our presence across the Fleet sector.

You’ll represent FMG at the forefront of the market, building relationships with leasing companies, large corporates, and fleet management businesses – and you’ll be pivotal in evolving our propositions to meet their changing needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Prospecting and targeting new business opportunities across the fleet sector
  • Leading all stages of the sales cycle including tenders, presentations, and negotiations
  • Developing strategic and tactical account plans
  • Collaborating with internal teams to shape compelling customer solutions
  • Promoting the FMG brand and building market visibility
  • Meeting and exceeding KPIs and commercial targets

Salary – £40,000 – £45,000 based on experience, enhanced by a commission structure and generous bonus scheme!

About You

We’re looking for a confident and credible new business sales professional with:

  • A strong track record in B2B sales, with essential experience gained in relevant industries such as accident management, insurance, leasing, claims, or fleet management.
  • Experience in owning full sales cycles
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills
  • A self-motivated, team-focused mindset with real commercial drive
  • The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
