As part of the UK’s largest accident repair group, this role involves inspecting damaged vehicles, assessing damage, preparing estimates, liaising with insurers, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of damage, repair costs, and estimated repair times.
- Identify correct repair methods in line with manufacturer and insurer standards.
- Prepare, record, and maintain accurate electronic and manual repair estimates.
- Liaise with insurance companies to obtain repair authorisation.
- Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methods and progress.
- Assess a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring repairs meet industry standards.
- Keep up to date with manufacturer repair methods, technical bulletins, and insurer requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues across the bodyshop and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, helping return vehicles safely and promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor.
- A full UK driving licence.
