Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum, plus bonus, company car/car allowance, and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide Vehicle Damage Assessor support across multiple sites in the Hastings region.
- Travel between sites to provide cover during holidays, peak workloads, training, and additional operational support.
- Act as a regional ambassador, promoting best practice and maintaining consistent repair standards.
- Inspect and estimate accident-damaged vehicles across all makes and models.
- Assess the full extent of vehicle damage, repair costs, and estimated repair times.
- Identify the correct manufacturer-approved repair methods in line with industry standards.
- Prepare, record, and maintain accurate electronic and manual repair estimates using Audatex.
- Liaise with insurance companies to obtain repair authorisation.
- Work closely with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methods and ensure clear communication.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Thatcham Repair Methods, BSI safety standards, insurer requirements, and manufacturer repair bulletins.
- Keep up to date with the latest repair methodologies and industry developments.
Qualifications
Essential
Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator, Audatex experience, and a full UK manual driving licence.
Preferred
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ATA, or IMI qualification, with a strong bodyshop background.
