While this role will be embedded within a dedicated offshore wind project team, you will be part of the wider FME engagement and communications team, benefiting from shared expertise, strategic support, and ongoing professional development. FME is seeking a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to support an offshore wind project entering its construction phase in Grimsby. The CLO will act as the primary community‑facing representative for the project, maintaining positive relationships with local stakeholders and ensuring clear, timely communication between construction teams and the local community. This is a highly visible role requiring strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance operational realities with community expectations. Please note this is a field‑based role and as such applicants will require a car and driving licence. Any administrative tasks and online meetings will need to be undertaken remotely with occasional visits required to the local project office for which the location is to be confirmed.
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday‑Friday (with occasional evenings/weekends)

Project: Offshore Wind – Construction Phase
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary community‑facing representative for the Project.
- Support ongoing community relations throughout construction phases.
- Liaise with key local stakeholders to identify concerns early and support effective resolution.
- Provide project updates through accessible and inclusive communication channels.
- Represent RWE and the project at public meetings, briefings, and community events.
- Ensure alignment between community engagement activity, construction timelines, and local expectations.
- Monitor, record and report community feedback, providing clear and actionable insights to the project team.
- Work closely with the Stakeholder Liaison Officer (SLO) provision delivered by FME.
- Report directly to the Project Stakeholder & Engagement Manager.
Working Pattern: This is a full‑time role working standard office hours (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday). Due to the nature of community engagement, occasional evening events and rare weekend attendance may be required. Delivery demands may vary throughout the construction programme, and the CLO will flex activity levels to meet project needs during peak and quieter periods.
