We are a leading main contractor delivering some of central London’s most prestigious, high-end hospitality projects, including luxury five-star hotels and premium developments built to exceptional standards. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our team in a full-time, site-based role. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of landmark projects, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment and taking responsibility for document control activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation in line with company procedures and project requirements.
  • Take ownership of document control systems, with a strong focus on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Upload, distribute, track, and archive drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Ensure all project information is accurate, up to date, and issued to the correct stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor RFIs, ensuring efficient logging, tracking, and close-out.
  • Coordinate document workflows between site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Maintain registers for drawings, RFIs, submittals, technical queries, and approvals.
  • Support project handover, including O&M manuals, warranties, certifications, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant for successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with project and design teams to resolve documentation issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry.
  • Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and document control across all project stages.
  • Experience on large-scale construction projects (hospitality experience is advantageous).
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (essential).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of document control processes, revision management, and workflows.
  • Experience managing handover documentation and O&M manuals.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
