As part of their continued investment for growth in the UK market, they are now looking to appoint a Technical Services Technologist reporting to the Technical Services Manager, who has the potential to grow and develop within the company.

As Specifications & Technical Assistant your role has a major influence on the smooth running of the department. As part of the technical team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of instigating and managing through the technical product specifications for major customers in B2B food manufacturing and leading grocery multiple retailers, covering such day-to-day tasks as:

  • Completing customer specifications using their various online systems and Word / Excel documents
  • Organising and housekeeping of all relevant documentation and systems

Ideally educated to degree level, you have previously been in a technical specifications role, within a food manufacturing company, where you have developed a good understanding in all aspects of managing technical product specifications through for major customers.

With a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a Technical or Quality Compliance function including product specification development, you are looking to step up your career with a new challenge within the exciting and progressive category of food ingredients. Your experience to date could have been gained in a food manufacturing, raw materials or technical food consultancy company at Technical Assistant/Technologist or Quality Compliance Assistant or a similar level role.

You are familiar with various processes, systems and legal requirements specific to the role, including a working knowledge of HACCP and BRC.
