An opportunity has opened for a Senior National Account Manager to join the UK retail team and take responsibility for a portfolio of major grocery customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong retailer relationships, working closely with internal teams and shaping long-term customer strategies. You’ll play a key part in developing joint business plans, bringing new products to market and ensuring the business continues to be seen as a valued partner across your accounts. The position offers strong visibility internally and genuine scope to influence both customer strategy and wider business direction.
Customer responsibility is expected to include leading UK retailers such as Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and M&S, with flexibility depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Managing day-to-day relationships with major grocery customers
- Developing collaborative joint business plans
- Supporting innovation and NPD launches
- Leading commercial discussions and reviews
- Managing budgets, forecasts and performance
- Working cross-functionally with NPD, technical and supply teams
- Acting as the voice of the customer internally
- National Account Manager or Senior NAM experience
- Exposure to UK grocery retail
- Experience in private label food manufacturing
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware and well organised
- Comfortable working remotely with autonomy
- Chilled or frozen category knowledge helpful
- up to £65,000 salary
- 20% bonus
- £5,400 car allowance / Company car
- 8% pension
- 33 days holiday
Location: Home-based with customer travel and one day per week at the South Wales manufacturing site.
