This well established food manufacturer is part of an international group recognised for its expertise in dessert and bakery products. With a strong UK manufacturing base and operations across Europe and beyond, the business supplies a wide range of premium products to both independent operators and major foodservice brands. Their offering combines culinary creativity, bespoke product development, and deep market insight to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs. Known for their commitment to excellence, they operate to the highest standards of food safety and service, making them a trusted partner in the hospitality and foodservice sectors.

As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior National Account Manager to further develop relationships with national end user foodservice customers.

Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will manage a portfolio of established end user accounts across national hotel and restaurant groups, as well as customers in the leisure and travel sectors. Key accounts include the Gordon Ramsay Group, Pizza Express, Zizzi, Dishoom, Hilton Hotels, and Radisson Hotels, among others. In addition to managing these relationships, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the foodservice channel. You will also lead a team of three experienced Business Development Managers who focus on independent hospitality customers in the South East of England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development and manage key national accounts
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Business Development Managers to achieve sales objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in the hospitality sector
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
  • Set and track performance targets and KPIs
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
  • Collaborate with marketing and NPD teams to deliver customer-led solutions
  • Identify and develop new channels, accounts, and commercial opportunities

Candidate Requirements

You will bring a genuine passion for food and high-quality products, alongside a proven track record in sales or account management within the foodservice sector. A strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry and a network across hospitality customers such as restaurants, hotels, or catering businesses is essential. You will likely come from a foodservice wholesale or manufacturing background, with experience in delivering sales growth and building market share. Strong leadership skills are important, particularly in managing and motivating high-performing commercial teams.

Salary and Benefits

£60,000 to £65,000 basic salary, 20 percent bonus, company car or £7,000 car allowance, private healthcare, pension, and 33 days holiday.

Location

This is a home-based role with regular travel to customer sites across the South of England. The successful candidate will ideally be based within reasonable reach of the company’s London head office.
