The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing, highly respected distributor of premium food ingredients supplying some of the most recognised brands in the UK food and hospitality sector.

With nearly 25 years of growth, this independent business has built an outstanding reputation for quality products, specialist expertise, and exceptional customer service. The company partners with a wide portfolio of premium global brands and supplies a diverse customer base across bakery, pastry, chocolate, gelato and wider foodservice markets.

Following continued expansion, the business is now looking for a London-based Business Development Manager to drive growth across the London region (within the M25).

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will manage a portfolio of existing customers while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities across London.

Customer channels include foodservice wholesalers, distributors, artisan bakeries, chocolatiers and gelato producers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while driving sales growth
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across key London foodservice channels
  • Work closely with internal teams to introduce new product opportunities and concepts
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Deliver measurable results across sales, volume and profitability

About You

  • Currently working in Business Development or Account Management
  • Experience selling into foodservice, hospitality, bakery, pastry or related channels
  • Commercially astute with strong relationship-building skills
  • Confident using CRM systems and sales data to identify opportunities
  • Passionate about food, premium ingredients, or the hospitality sector
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a field-based role

Location

This is a home-based field sales role covering London (within the M25). Candidates must currently live within the region.

Salary & Benefits

  • Β£45,000 – Β£55,000 basic salary (DOE)
  • Zone 1-3 Oyster card + other travel expenses
  • 10% company bonus
  • Mileage (45p per mile up to 10k)
  • 25 days holiday + your birthday off
