Our client is continuing to grow its healthcare division and are looking for a motivated Healthcare Account Manager to join their commercial team in Wetherby. This is a hands-on B2B account management and sales role, combining responsibility for an existing portfolio of healthcare customers with the opportunity to identify and develop new business across the UK and selected international markets. With uncapped commission, there is also the opportunity to earn above the stated £35,000 OTE through strong performance. Please note this is a fully office-based role in Wetherby, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am5:00pm. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to the workplace and work these hours on-site. Our client designs, manufactures and supplies specialist protective clothing developed to help protect healthcare professionals, carers and frontline workers from injuries caused by human bites and related workplace violence. Their products are used by healthcare providers, mental health services, secure units, specialist care organisations, and other frontline environments in the UK and internationally. As their healthcare division grows, they are looking for someone who can help maintain strong relationships with existing customers while creating new opportunities. The Role As Healthcare Account Manager, you will look after a portfolio of healthcare customers while also carrying out proactive business-development activity. You will maintain regular contact with customers, understand their requirements, support enquiries, and identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth. You will also contact prospective customers, respond to inbound leads and manage sales opportunities from initial conversation through to quotation, follow-up, and conversion. This role would suit someone who enjoys both relationship management and proactive sales activity and who wants to continue developing their experience in a growing specialist business. What You'll Be Doing Account Management Manage and support an existing portfolio of healthcare customers Build positive, long-term customer relationships Maintain regular contact with customers and key contacts Understand customer needs and product requirements Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, and upselling Respond to enquiries and provide a professional customer experience Follow up quotations and outstanding opportunities Keep customer records accurate and up to date in the CRM system New Business Development Identify and contact prospective healthcare customers Generate opportunities through telephone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and inbound leads Build relationships with relevant contacts across healthcare, mental health, and specialist care organisations Arrange and conduct product demonstrations and virtual meetings Respond to sales enquiries and prepare quotations Follow opportunities through from initial contact to conversion Support growth across UK and international customer markets Work towards agreed sales targets and revenue objectives Sales Administration & Teamwork Maintain an accurate and organised sales pipeline Update CRM records consistently Monitor open opportunities and follow-up actions Provide regular updates on sales activity and progress Share useful customer and market feedback with the wider team Work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing, and customer service Take responsibility for completing agreed customer actions promptly Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Be able to commute reliably to our workplace in Wetherby, West Yorkshire Be able to work full-time, office-based hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Be comfortable working on-site as part of the commercial team Have previous experience in sales, account management, business development, or another customer-facing commercial role Have strong communication and relationship-building skills Be confident speaking with customers by telephone, email, LinkedIn, and virtual meetings Be comfortable carrying out proactive sales activity Be organised and able to manage multiple customers and opportunities Be able to use CRM systems and Microsoft Office confidently Be self-motivated, reliable, and commercially focused Be comfortable working towards agreed sales targets This is not a remote or hybrid position. What they are Looking For You do not need previous experience in protective clothing or PPE. They are looking for someone with a good commercial mindset who enjoys speaking with customers, understanding their needs, and building long-term relationships. You should also be comfortable with the new-business side of the role, including outbound calls, follow-up activity and contacting prospective customers. The right person will be organised, proactive and confident taking responsibility for their own customers and sales opportunities while working as part of a wider commercial team.
