GVA Search is delighted to be partnering with a leading drinks-based business in London's West End to aid them in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a superb opportunity to join a thriving business with an excellent reputation in the industry, with exceptional growth plans.
Reporting to the Director of Finance for the UK subsidiary, we are looking for a talented and technically capable individual to oversee our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) departments, assist in preparing management accounts, and provide financial support to our sales team. This role requires a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple responsibilities with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Include:- AR & AP Management: Oversee sales invoicing and bank reconciliation. Manage debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring accurate ledger records. Control aged debt by actively pursuing payments and issuing reminders. Handle stock and non-stock purchase invoices, team expenses, and weekly payment runs. Assist in cash flow forecasting and manage credit limits with the Finance & Operations Director. Support logistics queries and handle export orders during colleague absences. Maintain comprehensive audit records and improve transactional finance processes.
- Management Accounts Preparation: Assist the Director of Finance in preparing management accounts and quarterly VAT returns. Conduct variance analysis and investigate cost discrepancies. Support financial planning and assist in annual audits.
- Sales Team Support: Provide financial insights to support commercial decision-making. Ensure due diligence in setting up new customers and suppliers. Analyse new business cases and assist with ad hoc financial tasks as required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Part-qualified/Qualified accountant with a minimum of three years' experience, ideally in an FMCG environment. You will have a proven ability to forge exceptional business relationships with multiple stakeholders and deliver quantifiable results to strict deadlines.
