GVA Search is proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing, global hospitality leader in London, who is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance/FP&A Analyst who will play an integral role in driving business performance. This is a critical new role to set up an FP&A capability and will focus on the financial and strategic reporting, forecasting/budgeting processes across businesses, and financial analysis of any special projects.
The successful individual is responsible for performing an analysis of current and past financial (and non‐financial) data for both businesses. You will develop reporting to provide quality, actionable information to enable informed decision making to improve the financial performance of the business.
Role responsibilities- Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.
- Provide timely, meaningful and insightful analysis of data to senior management.
- Manage the load process of financial information into the business financial reporting systems (TM1 and Jedox).
- Support the 5‐year planning and forecasting process.
- Monthly delivery of agreed KPI, dashboard reporting and detailed performance deck.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support effective decision making of the leadership team.
- Own run the capital investment appraisal model and analysis for all major capex spend.
- Conduct post‐investment reviews of major capex spend, providing insights and lessons learned.
- Provide insight into performance in the context of broader market trends.
- Produce and validate financial models to support the business.
- Validation of financial data across the business, ensuring that systems reconcile.
- Key finance systems user, delivering functional support as required to the hotel teams.
- Ad hoc project work as required, forming a key part of cross‐functional teams tasked with driving key strategic initiatives forwards.
- Assist in the ongoing efforts to improve and streamline key business finance processes.
- Prepare all management reporting and budgeting submissions.
- Assist in any ad hoc reporting required by the senior management teams.
- Prepare analysis on overhead costs and efficiency metrics.
The ideal candidate would be CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified (or equivalent), with a demonstrated background in either a Management Accountant, Commercial Finance Business Partner, Financial Analyst or FP&A, ideally with a Hospitality or Retail background. The successful candidate will have the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast‐paced environment and have the desire to drive improvements and efficiencies. You will need to be highly numerate with an eye for detail with a professional and collaborative approach to achieve set deadlines, with a roll‐up‐sleeves attitude to get the job done.
